DID YOU KNOW?? 80% of the Earth’s surface is water. 97.5% of the water in the world is seawater, unfit for human use. The majority of freshwater is beyond our reach, locked into polar ice and snow. Less than 1% of freshwater is usable, amounting to only 0.01% of the Earth’s total water. 1.4 Billion people do not have adequate access to clean drinking water. 4,400 people die each day (1.6 million each year) due to water related illnesses. A human can live more than a month without food, but only one week without water. 9.7 million people in Cambodia have no available potable water.
